How cash discounting works
Customers see a cash price and a card price. Here is what staff see and how the fee can be removed.
Where to find this in Storey: Turned on by Storey when your account is set up
With cash discounting, your prices are cash prices and paying by card adds a fixed percentage. The percentage is agreed with your processor and set by Storey on your connection. You can't change it yourself.
At the register
When a customer pays by card, a "Paying by card" window shows the Cash price, the Card fee with its percentage, and the Card price. Tap Continue to charge it.
Removing the fee from one sale
Tap Remove the card fee. Depending on how your account was set up, either any employee allowed to waive it, or a manager, enters their PIN under "Approval needed" and taps Remove the fee.
Receipts and the online shop
Receipts show the fee as its own Card fee line. In your online shop, the fee is included in the one total the shopper sees.
